I've not been around for a few weeks due to lots of personal issues I won't go into. I thought some of you may be interested in our piggie news. Sorry this is a bit of a soap opera!
After the loss of Bracken on 4th January Rusty was left alone and very sad, he is now living very happily with Caspy who had fallen out with Red last year, they were living side by side with a divider.

This left a very frustrated Red who hated Rusty being in with Caspy, he threw himself at the divider and bit the bars constantly. I wasn't sure I wanted to be oned by another piggie with life being complicated right now, but along came Brillo! Brillo was so named because he is not only wire haired, but Brillo was our collective name for Willow and Bracken who both left us far to soon, so in their memory here he is!
In the bonding pen with Red

Red and Brillo are now in Spike and Peanut's 160 commercial cage and Spike and Peanut are enjoying life next door to Rusty and Caspy, they love to chat through the bars and have a nose at what each other are doing. Sadly Spike and Peanut are both on long term meds now, we are taking every day as it comes and storing lots of happy memories. The syringes and meds had gone away for 2 days after Bracken had been PTS, he was on pain medication for 4 months. Peanut was then rushed to the vets closely followed by Spike a week later. They are both suffering from different health problems that are being well managed and closely monitored. I really don't recommend getting old to animals or humans.
