So on Sunday katanamoon kindly brought her two grand pigs over to join our family.

Meet Tigerlilly and Honeysuckle (photo is Katanamoons as I haven't been able to get one of them yet)

I put grids along the middle of the c&c and the new kids have been living on one side of the divide and my grumpy 4 year old ladies have been living on the other (Mo and Lara below). Lara has always been very dominant but with her ongoing dental problems she can be particularly cranky.

There has been some sniffing through the bars but today, Tigerlilly and my grumpy girl Mo met at the bars. Mo put her head to the bars trying to be friendly and Tigerlilly started rumblestutting up and down the divider at her. Mo is 5 times bigger than her! But the big surprise was Lara meeting Honeysuckle at the bars and I was expecting trouble, but they both put there noses through the bars and rubbed cheecks together. It was sooo cute. Lara has never been the cuddly type.

So tomorrow they meet on neutral ground in the bathroom for the first time without the safety wall.I didn't have enough grids left to build a neutral enclosure so ended up dragging my v heavy outdoor run through the house and upstairs ready for tomorrow. Neighbours must think I an nuts! I want them upstairs so I am close by while I am scrubbing down and redoing the whole c&c ready for their hopefully bonded and dividerless return.

Please send soothing thoughts our way. I haven't done this for 4 years and my nerves will be shredded.

Aww, that is so cute that they've all ended up with flower names! :luv:

I have everything crossed tightly for tomorrow - can't wait to hear how the first playdate goes! xx

Well, its been a couple of hours now and it *seems* to be going OK. Remarkably quiet really. There was a couple of warning nips, and a few head raises and a little bit of teeth chattering from Lara but otherwise OK. There seems to be a lot of hamster style face cleaning going on, it that part of the behaviour bonding?

It looks like all is well. They are now back in the freshly cleaned main c&c and all appears quiet. Mo looks thoroughly worn out and has slumpt out asleep in the open which she doesn't usually do.

Honeysuckle has taken a shine to Lara and seems to follow her around everywhere. More amazingly, Lara seems happy about it.

I have only put hidys with two exits in, 2 food bowls and 2 water bottles just in case.

Now I just have to lug the run back downstairs and outside again!

Yay! I'm so pleased it's going well and I hope Mo and Lara aren't too worn out! How funny that Honeysuckle has imprinted on Lara - she tended to keep herself to herself but she must be smitten :luv:

I literally can't express how thankful I am that the girlies are all in their forever homes now, with such lovely people :D

I think Mo's face says it all really

They are all flaked out at the moment after the days excitement. Lara has claimed one of the temporary box huts as her own and is sat in the doorway like a dog in a kennel. Honeysuckle has taken the hint and is snuggled up next to Mo in the hammock tent. I can just see on of Mo's feet stuck out from underneath. Tigerlilly is sprawled out in the play tunnel with her bag legs stuck out. I will probably be flaked out myself soon after the days stress!
