I am sad to announce the passing this morning of Big Fred 8...
He was the last of the original two, and would have been between 5 and 6 years old. He was a huge character, the original bad boy pig, definitely in charge, throwing his weight around whenever he got the chance. rumblestrutting to anyone who dared to look at him in the wrong way. :)) He was very protective of his best friend Little fred.
He was absolutely fine last night, eating and drinking normally, he had a lovely meal of veggies before i went to bed last night.
I found him this morning, laying on his little bed, head on the pillow, feet stretched out, chicken style, he must've died in his sleep. He looked very comfortable and peaceful.

He leaves behind Little Fred, his partner of 4 years, they were inseparable. 8...

I'm so sorry to hear about Big Fred. What a lovely piggie and it sounds as though he just slipped away in his sleep. Run free at the bridge big fred...x

Thanks everyone, Wiebke, i think Little Fred is ok, he saw the body this morning, he hasn't been wheeking much, just hiding. He's just started eating, first time this morning, so thats good. I will give him a few days to settle, then i will try to pair him with Nacho, who lost Wiggle a while back.
 
So sorry for the loss of Your piggie, he sounded like a real character and was beautiful. Hugs to you and Little Fred x

oh i just love that first piccy, what a cheeky boy he looked.

I am so sorry, but i do wish they would all pass as peaceful in their sleep with no obvious signs of pain or discomfort.

I'm so sorry to hear about Fred :( what a special piggy he was. At least he went in the most peaceful way stress free for both him and you, big hugs x
 
So sorry for your loss.....you must be heartbroke,. At least he went peacefully and without any pain, he'll be loving bossing everyone about in piggy heaven x
