We have noticed large clumps of poo in our pig scruffy's run and assumed they had stuck together after passing until the other day we saw attached photo. I can't believe he has passed something this big. We obviously gently helped him with this one and it "STANK". :)>>>
I assume he his constipated and wondered if anyone could suggest what to feed him to stop it. He has Guinea pig mix and we feed him lettuce (not iceberg)/carrott/cabbage/cucumber/celery daily. He has dandelions in summer. He doesnt seem to drink much water at all. He has hay and shredded paper in his hutch on top of sawdust.
I realise from other posts this can affect bulls around two years plus. Is this anal impaction? any advice appreciated.

This is impaction yes. It needs to be removed asap as it will be very uncomfortable for him. (also in the summer it would be risking fly strike) This happens in older boars and there isn't a huge amount you can do with diet to help with this. You will need to clean him out every day or so to keep him clear.

Have a read here for info:

If you are not happy with clearing this yourself get your piggie to a vets or we can always advice a guinea pig rescue/expert close by who will be able to help you clear this.

Feel free to ask as many questions as you like. Lots of very knowledgable people here to help.

Thanks for the reply. Confirmed what I thought. Don't mind doing it, but it's not on my best top ten things to do at the weekend.:))
