Just having a lazy afternoon full of cold! Thought I’d go through my pine chest that contains all my paper photos. It’s a long time ago now, feeling quite nostalgic and came across these of old photos of my son who is 38 in April and Bill and Ben. They where pet shop piggies! Both males and brothers, well that’s what we were told!
Ben became bigger and bigger and then the penny dropped! We had to obviously split them, so Ben came to live inside for a while
One morning I came down to find 6 new arrivals, sadly the biggest one was stillborn but all the others were fine.
Ben was a brilliant mother, we found good homes for them and kept one of the girls Lucy, who was the runt of the litter and quite small. Knowing now we should have kept a boy too for company for poor old Bill but hindsight is a great thing! We still had a pair of males and females to find homes for, so it never really worked out for Bill. They got to live in hutches facing each other but looking back it was probably a torment for Bill not to get to the ladies!
I am going to look for my very first piggie amongst all these years of photos, hope I find her, I will post if I do later!

Do feel free to post any of your previous piggies on this thread if you’d like to

I used to take slides so there are at 2000, probably more, in boxes in my study.
I had a gadget that scanned the slides onto the computer but sadly is no longer compatible.
I’m sure there’s some old piggy pictures in there somewhere.

Now - wonder what husband can get for my birthday next year🙄

Yes this is the main problem with anything digital. We have videos of family, holidays and pets but all incompatible with today’s technology. My iPad is a nightmare when it’s come to file transfer, Apple drives me insane!

I find Apple much easier than Microsoft to use.
How do you transfer files?
I have a little gadget that fits my iPhone & a USB socket. You can probably get them for iPads too. It’s very handy for transferring files.
Sometimes I just email stuff to myself!

How’s your cold doing?

I generally just email photos to myself like you, blue tooth works tends to cut out on large files. I have one or two file transfer apps on it but can be a faff. Will look for an iPad usb, that would be great. I use the ICloud quite a bit for photo storage too. I only have a cheapo Tesco phone in case I break down or emergencies, it doesn’t take photos. OH has a Samsung which seems totally incompatible with apple!
Feeling a bit grim atm, but looking at old photos has cheered me up a bit!

How are you feeling, any better?

Feeling much better than I did but then I was feeling like death only slightly warmed up!
Just hoping for a good night’s sleep.
I have to work tomorrow but I think I will try to take the rest of the week off

Lovely pics :)
Must have some somewhere of piggies and our accidental babies years ago too, my mum most likely has lots of them. My gorgeous first love Trevor (silver agouti!) and Honey, both females apparently, 2 babies followed by four ☹️ We kept the first two (she must’ve already been pregnant when arrived, then Trevor obviously moved in quickly after, poor girl) but my mum returned the last babies to the pet shop  Cried like a big baby, especially as two were mini-Trevors that were silver agoutis! Will have a look if I can find any pics!

This was my very first pair of piggies. Bumble (ginger and white beautiful aby who was scared of her own shadow) and Bea (silver and white aby cross who disliked people and would wee on anyone daring to hold her within around a 2 min mark so everyone was always handed a towel with her).FB_IMG_1547065727259.webpFB_IMG_1547065748977.webp

Here they are seeing Peter for the first time when he was posted on this forum, a brief internet date and I took him home and neutered him so he could live with the ladies as he was bullied by all the boars.

I’m going to get a scanner for my birthday next year :yahoo:
Hopefully there will be old pics of my childhood piggies in due course.

Found this from July 2018 when Priscilla and Phoebe arrived.
The pic with Merab is for size comparison. I’d forgotten how small Phoebe was then.
Priscilla was all ATTITUDE with fur.

Honey (the mum) on my sister’s knee and one of her first two babies, Twitch my piggy, on mine. Think I was about 14. (Faces blurred so don’t get in trouble with sis and I don’t scare people! :)) )

The four babies after mummy Honey had already had two poor girl. (My ex boyfriend as a teenager also blocked out!) Forgot the other silver baby had such a white face! But can you guess who I fell in love with and was heartbroken we couldn’t keep him!?!
My mum must have more but these in my little photo box along with hamsters and my first rats Holly and Gizmo! I’m all soppy now!
