I am so excited! Tomorrow my newest arrivals are coming home - forever! Every time I get a new piggy I get excited & I love getting to know them & their little (or big) personalities! I'm going to be a guinea mum again! :<>
Billy & Bobby are 2 babies from a very big guinea rescue (featured on this site in January). They were the youngest pigs rescued & are so handsome! To see their 'before' photos (when they were rescued) visit the Walsall RSPCA site: http://www.rspca-walsall.org.uk/newpages/billybobby.htm
Billy is the white pig who had severe mites at the time of his rescue. When I last saw him (a week ago) you wouldn't know there was ever anything wrong with him! Billy is now about 8 weeks old. He is thriving & all his fur is growing back! He has such a cheeky & bossy personality & is the alpha pig of the pair!

Bobby is the baby. He had mites - not as severe as Billy, but many of his issues now are psychological. In the photo on the Walsall RSPCA site he looks terrified - one of the things that drew me to him. Even now he still has fear in his eyes.
A baby should never look like that. He is still very small for his age & we are not sure how big he will grow. It is going to take lots of TLC to help him get over what happened to him. x) (Apparently he was the only baby in a cage of 8-10 adults. No wonder he was scared.)
I do want to say a HUGE thank you to Vicky who is their foster carer. She has looked after them so well (& her mum Janet too!) for this last month. They have been so loved & nutured & thanks to them they are both still here with us. xx>>>
I know how lucky I am to have these handsome little boys coming to my home! They also met my 3 boys last weekend (with some distance between them!) That said, Billy & Bobby will be living upstairs for sometime - away from the girly arguments that come from my boys cage & also from the children I childmind! So the nearest they will come into contact with 'the boys' is when the cage is shut & the big boys locked away! Then the tiddlers (Billiy & Bobby) can sit underneath & talk to them or growl to their hearts content!
Goodness only knows what they will think of my guinea-loving cocker spaniel!
Less than 24 hours to go now! I will be at Vicky's house at 5.30pm & they should be back here by 7pm! (It will take sometime as Vicky will need to say bye to them.)
Will post photos tomorrow evening! Hooray for baby piggies!! x)
