I am so excited! Tomorrow my newest arrivals are coming home - forever! Every time I get a new piggy I get excited & I love getting to know them & their little (or big) personalities! I'm going to be a guinea mum again! :<>

Billy & Bobby are 2 babies from a very big guinea rescue (featured on this site in January). They were the youngest pigs rescued & are so handsome! To see their 'before' photos (when they were rescued) visit the Walsall RSPCA site: http://www.rspca-walsall.org.uk/newpages/billybobby.htm :(

Billy is the white pig who had severe mites at the time of his rescue. When I last saw him (a week ago) you wouldn't know there was ever anything wrong with him! Billy is now about 8 weeks old. He is thriving & all his fur is growing back! He has such a cheeky & bossy personality & is the alpha pig of the pair! :(|)

Bobby is the baby. He had mites - not as severe as Billy, but many of his issues now are psychological. In the photo on the Walsall RSPCA site he looks terrified - one of the things that drew me to him. Even now he still has fear in his eyes. :( A baby should never look like that. He is still very small for his age & we are not sure how big he will grow. It is going to take lots of TLC to help him get over what happened to him. x) (Apparently he was the only baby in a cage of 8-10 adults. No wonder he was scared.)

I do want to say a HUGE thank you to Vicky who is their foster carer. She has looked after them so well (& her mum Janet too!) for this last month. They have been so loved & nutured & thanks to them they are both still here with us. xx>>>

I know how lucky I am to have these handsome little boys coming to my home! They also met my 3 boys last weekend (with some distance between them!) That said, Billy & Bobby will be living upstairs for sometime - away from the girly arguments that come from my boys cage & also from the children I childmind! So the nearest they will come into contact with 'the boys' is when the cage is shut & the big boys locked away! Then the tiddlers (Billiy & Bobby) can sit underneath & talk to them or growl to their hearts content! :)) Goodness only knows what they will think of my guinea-loving cocker spaniel!

Less than 24 hours to go now! I will be at Vicky's house at 5.30pm & they should be back here by 7pm! (It will take sometime as Vicky will need to say bye to them.)

Will post photos tomorrow evening! Hooray for baby piggies!! x)

they are lovely and look like they have had a rough time. Its nice to see they are going to such a loving home looking forward to seeing the pics!

You must be soo excited! They are both beautiful, I can't wait to see more pics tomorrow x

I'm sooo excited for you Michele :))

I cant wait to see pigtures :)

xxxxx

Looking at those pics of them when they were rescued made me feel so sad, how can people be so cruel to let them get in such a state? :(

Looking forward to seeing some pics of them when you get them home though. :)

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww they look lovely, so sad people dont actually know what they are doing with piggies :(
I'm sure they will love there new forever home ;)

Ooooh, how exciting! Just had a quick read of the advert for them. How sad that someone would let them get into that condition especially at such a young age - how awful for them :(

Glad they have a lovely new home to go to! :D

Good luck - hope all goes well and, like everyone, I look forward to seeing plenty of piccies!

Hi Michelle,

Thank you for all the nice things you said about me and my mom, the boys are all ready to go.

I will be really sad to see them go (their may be a few tears) but I know they will be going to a fantastic new home.

See you at 5:30

Love Vicky

ps. I agree we will need plenty of pigtures

Hooray! MY babies are back home!

It's been a week since I last saw the boys & in that time they have both come on so well! Both have grown - even Bobby (now 7 weeks old) is looking more grown up! Billy (9 weeks old) excels at growling & bottom wiggling, so we all know who the boss of the pair is! Bobby looks less scared, but is still very wary of me (who wouldn't be?!) We had a lovely conversation & time with Vicky, before my friend Ruth took us home.

Well, my handsome new arrivals got back to their new home about 7.40pm this evening! They werte greeted by my guinea-loving cocker spaniel (Susie!) who had to sniff them! She was a tad excited, but the boys were so good & brave whilst she did her thing! I held them in front of my cage for the other boys to see them & only Pippin sniffed them! Jerry & Legolas weren't in the least bit interested - although I am sure that will change soon (especially Legolas who likes to be the boss of everyone!)

They are currently in a plastic box. It is relatively small area wise, but they are wary of big spaces, plus I want them near me tonight! (It's the new mummy thing!) They have hidden themselves away in their home, keeping their eyes open in case I dare to look at them! I have heard them fidget, growl & chatter!

They have had some cucumber, curly kale, carrot & celery so I know they are feeling relatively OK! Hopefully we will have a good night & then tomorrow I will feel better about them being in their cage away from me!

Here are a few pictures of them just arrived at home. Will try & take some better ones tomorrow & will post them asap!

The boys have had a very good first night in their new home! :)) they seemed to be happy in their relatively small but temporary home. I heard them a few times running round like lunatics! They have also devoured most of the veggies I gave them - curly kale, carrot & celery! :(|)

Billy has continued to assert his bossiness & has recommenced the growling & wiggling bottom routine! @) Bobby spends most of his time hiding in the house, but does keep a lookout incase I decide to go near the cage! :{

They met their brothers briefly & Billy growled at Legolas (the current boss), rather than the other way round! It was quite amusing! Pippin & Jerry sort of sniffed them, but it was very half-hearted!

They are now safely out of the way of small fingers - I am looking after a 17 month old this morning! But they will come back down later. Hopefully they will be fully moved into their new cage in the morning.

I will post new photos later - when I get some better ones in daylight!

GOSH aren't they two little cuties x)x)
