So Biscuit my 2 and a half year old beige boar has changed colour! At first i thought he had just got a little grubby somehow but none of the others had which was weird so i gave him a bath giving the 'grubby' bits a really good scrub but nothing came off he just stayed the same

So he now has sort of a dark browny colour ticking around most of his head and the beginings of a band around his back

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

What could be the reason?

Will try and get a before and after pic but my phone is playing up and wont let me upload any pics

Bless him. I think I have heard of slight colour changes before. I expect it's due to varying levels of melanin or something like that. :)

My Rosie is the same. She looks really grubby at times, but bathing her only makes her coat look a little brighter but doesn't get rid of the darker patches.
She is 7, and has been grubby looking for a few years. I didn't know it was related to age.

Yup it's called 'sabling' and can happen at any age really...some of them do it during winter/summer as well :)
