Biscuit Has Collapsed

Oh bless :( massive hugs to everyone xx

I couldn't get into the vets tonight so I'll need to try again tomorrow (they usually have cancellations) she is sat with me on her towel with her blankly eating. Apart from being 'stuck' again she seems ok. She has lost quite a bit of weight over the past few weeks. I need to have a long hard think about what intervention is really warranted, she isn't keen on meds or critical care as she wasn't really handled before. I'm not sure how fair it would be to put her through that.

Just remember that you know your own piggy best, and whatever decision you make it will be the right one for her.

It’s a good sign she’s sill got her appetite and is happy in herself! x
It is good, the decision about what to do would be easy if she wasn't eating or happy. But he had a few hours there with me and was happy.

I love it that she has snuggled herself all up and made herself all nice and cosy
green blanky is well loved and she has been known to drag it along to lie on. She likes it over her back when she snuggles up.

Really sorry to hear the latest developments. Fingers crossed you can get in the vets tomorrow

Not much they can do. She is apparently on the max dose of metacam. If she doesn’t improve by Monday we can X-ray. They have suggested baytril for the snotty nose.

She is running around tonight but I get home and find hay poking out her sodding eye. I’m laughing but my wallet is crying!

Oh the little monkey! Is she crushing on your vet? She certainly seems to be insisting on spending a lot of time there :))

Oh no - keeping everything crossed it's not caused any damage, poor Biscuit and poor you.

I love the loyalty points idea.
Guinea pigs were a very cheap pet when I was a child, you never heard of anyone taking one to a vet!
My vets do a free introductory health check for dogs, cats and rabbiits, why not guinea pigs?
