i git my 4 new guinea's the start of this week only to notise that the next day, one of them had a scab on the side of its face. next to its ear. since then the scabbing area has spread, and the skin gas now become dry and flakey it is also causing hair loss.

i dont have any idea what it could be :'(
and the others dont have any signs of it:'(

I had a simular issue with one of mine when I first got them, Joe had a raised scab on the side of his face and over the course of the next week these scabs appeared over his back and rump, I bathed both of the in a medicated shampoo (for lice and mites) and changed there bedding from shavings and hay to fleeces and a guinea pig bed big enough for two! since then the scabs cleared up in a matter of days and both my boys are free from scaps - he had an allergy to the dust! I now have two happy healthy piggies!
