Hello everyone,

The last couple of days Biscuit's poops have been even smaller than before. I gave the vet a ring and spoke to the nurse who suggested we bring him in today so we're off for a 2.30pm appointment.

I think we made the appointment just in time because he seems a little lethergic today and his appetite seems to have been affected a little. My wife says he ate some hay in the night and she had fill up his feeder as normal this morning but he didn't eat a lot of hay yesterday. He did have a handful of grass but that's really not much for a 15 month old piggy.

Hopefully it's nothing. It could be his teeth again but I think it's more likely he has some good motility issues. I'm hopeful that the vet will say he's ok and maybe put him on some Zantac or something to help get his bowels moving a bit more quickly/smoothly.

Fingers and paws crosses...

Poor Biscuit, hope he will be ok. Good luck at the vets

Well the vet had a good check of Biscuit: teeth, heart, chest and bowel sounds. His bowels sound fine so she's not too worried about gut stasis at this point. She thinks he might be uncomfortable or have stomach pains which are making it hard for him to pass good-sized droppings so he's going to have 0.5ml of Metacam for 5 days to see if it helps him.

He seems more sprtiely straight away as he always does with Metacam and is tucking into his hay rights now :)
