Ok I posted Saturday and thanks for replies about pirate (approx 8-10 weeks) who was looking uncomfy pooing. And had not been pooing very much, so we put him on a level by himself to monitor and sat night very few, but sunday morning we had quite a few more and at least 2 wees while out. So I got him out lots yesterday to encourage running around (my logic get things moving!). So that worked fairly well and last night put him on his own level again and I changed all bedding etc we have vet bed with newspaper under so I thought I can see really well what he does. Anyway this morning lots of poos and nice normal shape etc so that was much better and I am sure a couple of wees that have gone through to the paper but would you say with fairly dense vet bed stuff some wees just well don't make it through or should I be worried about dehydration. We had planned to take him to the vet today but he seems so much better I am really not sure what to do. I have no issue taking him but dont know if he needs it. So just wondering how would you see dehydration? he is def drinking as have watched (heard) him. He is still a little off his food as in fresh veg but took a small piece of cucumber well the other night and we cut out most fresh veg as we think too many diff things upset his tummy. He is eating his hay well and has had some of his pellets over night. I weighed out the pellets so later I will weigh them and check how many he has had but soon I want to let them back in together as last night in the run together (indoors) they got a little grumpy with each other and I dont want to seperate them for long. Oh and I weighed him for first time last night so can record as had never done this so atleast now I can compare.
SO if any of this makes sense;
would you take him or would you monitor him at home?
Any tips for spotting dehydration?
Would a wee on vet bed def go through to newspaper?
Would you re introduce veg and if so what and how much?
Thanks (again!) x
