Have your boys been fighting? How big is their cage? Do they have two of everything? How bad are the wounds?

yeah been fighting and one of them have a split lip. what medicine can i use? I'm waiting to get more of the cage to extend, its not big at the moment

Oh no! I would separate them then. I do not think they can live together. You never said how big the cage is? I have no idea about medicine.

You can always use saline solution (1pt of boiled, cooled water, stir in 1tsp of salt), but personally, I would have it seen by a vet so he can make a judgement as to the severity and whether he may need some antibiotic of not.

Have you separated your boys? First and foremost i would separate them immediately so they cannot inflict more wounds to one another - when piggies fight, they can fight to the death!

I would then make an appointment with your vets to have both boys checked over and if necessary antibiotics prescribed.

I recently had to split up two of my boys - within 3 days of them being separated one of my boys developed a huge abscess on the side of his face caused by one of the wounds becoming infected - even though i cleaned it twice daily. The most upsetting part for me was, when the vet shaved his face to make an incision in the abscess to drain it - she discovered there were actually 4-5 wounds on his face and not just the 1 that i had initially discovered 8...

I separeted them, and taking to the vet tomorrow. His wound looks like its healing ok. I feel so upset that I had to separate them. Will they be friends again ever?
