IMG_5327.webp Just wanted a second opinion on this...
Porky is currently being treated for mites and is obviously very itchy. One of my others pigs spike is quite dominant and has been throwing his weight around the last couple of days, almost bullying little porky! I'm obviously going to see how it goes as he's done this before and it settled down.

However I noticed a mark on porky's ear today and I'm not sure if it's a scratch mark from him being itchy or whether it's a bite mark from spike! Any opinions would be great!

To be honest, it is impossible to say. Accidents with swiping sharp claws are not at all uncommon and are perceived as such. Misjudged swipes are not the end of the road. A full-on deep bite to the rum or the face is.
You should know by the amount of tension between the two whether a serious incident has happened or not. If things are no different that before you left, it argues for an accident.

I assume that you are treating both piggies for mites?

I agree with Wiebke - it's not possible to tell from that photo. Sorry not to be more help.

That's ok! I wasn't sure either. Judging from them I think it was an accident. All of them are being treated but they're a little bit grumpy because of the itching! Thanks for you replies though

Its also worth considering that when one piggy is feeling under the weather the other piggy can start to be more boisterous. I've found that to be the case on a few occasions which is why I've had to take the ill piggy out to treat before reintroducing, not always but sometimes.
