so my guinea pig gilbert bites his igloo...any specific reason for thatt? i give him his treat and he bites happily on that but once he goes into his house he'll bite like crazy! i heard it isnt good for his health if they ingest it. when i got him frolm the petstore he was fine in his igloo. no biting at all. is it anxiety from the movee...? or...?:^- another question: about how long did it take your guinea pig to settle into your environment?

Does he have other toys and things to play with in his cage? Toilet roll tubes filled with hay, paper bags are a favourite with mine. My boys also chew their pigloos...I think it's just something they do!

The time it will take a piggy to settle down varies from pig to pig. Mine ranged from being ultra confident straightaway, to a nervous little boy who still runs for cover at the slightest noise!

Dont worry my piggies chew their pigloo aswell. I have had to replace the old one it got so bad :)) But now they have these willow sticks from P@H which they love to demolish.
