I posted some time ago about my 2 young boars as one was very dominant. However not long after things calmed down. 6 months on they are not best friends but they are OK together (and don't seem to like being apart). My daughter always has the more dominant on her lap and he seems happy and makes purry noises. I have the less dominant one and although he used to be OK he goes wild now trying to get off my lap and I've often been nipped on my arm or leg. I've got now that I keep him in a pouch on my lap. Does anyone have any advice? I want to keep him used to being handled but can't keep getting bit...

Unfortunately some pigs, no matter how hard you try, don't like being handled. Keeping him in a pouch, or something similar, is a good idea as it'll help him feel safe. Have you tried offering him a nice treat when he's sitting on your lap so that he starts to associate being handled with something nice?

Yes I always have some fresh grass or parsley to hand! I think I may keep trying but for short times before the pouch. Many thanks for your time.
