Hi everyone, one of my sows Bit has got a bald patch on her bottom it started off as i thought mites so i treated her for mites and her skin cleared up and hair grew back but last week i noticed she had a raw wound on her bottom the size of a 50p it just looked like the skin had been peeled off it looked really painful i put some wound cream on it and it cleared up lovely but still no hair there her skin is clear and hair is thick everywere else so i dont think its still mites anyone have a clue x ? ? ? ?

OoOoh it could possibly mites and would need the vet to take a look and a special injection to clear them up.
Hope she gets her hair back
If you could post a piccie thatd be the best option so far so we can see it 
My guinea pig had a large raw wound after giving birth and her hair didnt grow back it was just smooth skin untill i found out she had just got mites so i took her to the vets and they gave her an injection and her hair is growing back :smitten:

A course of three injections is needed by a vet if it is mites. Your best bet is to visit the vets instead of trying to treat something yourself the longer it continues the harder it is to treat.
