bitten piggie

One of my guinea pigs was bitten on the nose by his bonded brother, should I do anything for the poor little bald patch on his nose, or leave it?

I would take him to the vets for a check up just to be on the safe side. Is there a reason why he got bitten? Is the bond now broken?

Keep a close watch on them both. Broken bonds can be very subtle from not letting them get to food to the obvious fighting.

Hi!

Please check the patch whether it is a shallow accidental misjudged bite or back leg swipe or a deep full on bite. Disinfect the wound with saline solution (either sterile from a pharmacy or made at home by stirring 1 teaspoon of salt into 1/2 pint/250 ml of boiled cooled water).

If it is an accidental minor hiccup, it won't impact on the bond. A full-on bite likely will.
Please make sure that you don't have any hideys with just one exit and that no boy can be caught in a corner.
