Bizarre Pig Dreams

I have vivid dreams almost every night, but the last few nights when I was fighting my fever, they went beyond the realm of normalcy, even for me! They weren't nightmares per say, but they are frequently stressful, and have been featuring my pigs. Like last night I dreamed that Piglet was missing for a few days, and I was frantically searching for him, and I eventually found him, but there were duplicates of him because apparently he was around females (my fever ridden brain's way of breeding lol). And then he turned into a hamster, and I woke up confused lol. Anyone else have weird pig dreams? :crazy:
 
I often do. I have terrible dreams my babies die or go missing. I often dream they are in odd places too.
 
I sometimes dream that I've forgotten to feed my piggies for days on end, or that I've left them outside in the rain, or that they're escaping all over the place, or that I've got far more piggies than I've realised - which makes me sound like a careless owner, but I'm not, it's just that I have a lot of anxiety dreams, and I do a lot of worrying about the pigs!
 
I have dreams of them both starving to death with limbs falling off quite often :(
 
Gosh we have awful dreams. I imagine it is because we love and worry about our piggies.
 
@Katherine I know exactly what you mean! I will dream that the closet in my basement all of a sudden has like 20 pigs in it out of nowhere and my dad won't believe me. Or I'll have fish in a tank with only an inch of water flopping around looking for food, same with parakeets-forgetting to feed them...and I haven't had fish or parakeets in years!

I have dreams like that too.
I have no idea why I'm suddenly writing in italics....what button did I hit now?!

I'd hazard a guess at the italics button, it's an 'I'. ;)

These all sound like pretty normal dreams to me. I found it funny when my OH woke up panicking once because he dreamed the flat was full of piggies and they were all wheeking at him to be fed! :))
 
I have never had dreams about my piggies, I do remember a vivid dream about my old dog Crom though, He was out in the front garden playing with Tara (mums yorkie) but he was already dead at this point and I couldn't believe my eyes, I was frantic trying to tell my parents but they couldn't see him, only I could, I also remember it was a lovely sunny day and there was like a yellow/gold glow/haze in the scenario. When I asked my Dream reading friend he told me that he (my dog) has been around me and has seen that I have been thinking about him and still grieving over him and still crying when I think about him, and he came to me in the dream to reassure me that he is okay and I don't have to be upset, which of course made me BAWL my eye's right out of the sockets. This was about 3 years ago, crom was PTS in 2008, we had him since 1990.
He has always held such a special place in my heart that I just can't get over his loss even now. I have a tattoo on my wrist in his memory (not a very good one, but I have it none the less)

Until I got my piggies I often had vivid dream about finding my old hamster cages with the hamster still alive, breeding and escaping! I also have had similar-ish dreams about my fish and somewhat similar dreams about the guinea pigs (I dream a lot - and very vividly!) However my most recent dream was completely unrelated to animals. I accidently found myself at a one direction show on my own and when they saw me in the audience looking less than happy (I wonder why?!) they came into the audience and serenaded me and Liam kissed me -I don't even like Liam! :/ The weirdest bit was they then just left me to find my own way home - apparently even in my dreams I'm not good enough for Harry Styles!
 
often dreams aren't actually about the person (or in some cases) animal that you see in them but are a projection of your other thoughts and feelings interpreted into a scenario with loved ones faces on for your mind to process Erm an example could be the dreams where your pets are breeding or multiplying could be where you may feel overwhelmed by something else like taking on to much at work or something else in your life. I think dream analysis is a complex subject as symbolism is often analyzed in a lot of depth but i also believe that sometimes a dream is just what it is, i may dream about punching my boss in the face because its actually what i want to do. But i also don't rule out the spiritual side like the post about crom the dog, although i don't believe in spirits myself i don't disbelieve in them either and its a nice thought that he came to you. i love dreams though i don't think I have them very often and i have nightmares a lot when i do. The best way to understand them i think is to consider all aspects of your life and interpretations they could be and go with whatever makes most sense to you as its your own brain you know it best.
 
I once had a very vivid dream about my cat dieing and woke up crying! I was so relieved when I found her sleeping next to me.
 
I have dreams that I've forgotten to lock up the shed properly. OH had a dream of birds of prey flying down a taking one of the pigs... Horrible
 
Last night i dreamt i went swimming then realised i had left the hutch open. then one of my boys appeared, lept in the pool and started swimming.

Ive only had them 3.5 weeks but this is the first time ive ever had a gp dream. I'm away at the moment which i absolutely dont think is a coincidence
