Bizarre Query

At present the pigs are outside during the day , their run is moved daily so that they have a fresh supply of grass. Today i watched a female blackbird carefully collecting guinea pig poo and take it to feed her babies. Obviously this is not a very nutritious food but , my query is-: will it harm the babies ie is it harmful?
She has access to wild bird food plus soaked dried fruit

That certainly is bizarre! Maybe the blackbird is mistaking the poops for maggots or caterpillars. I wouldn't have thought they were very nutritious either, but I don't know whether they are harmful
I'd be inclined to try to dispose of the poops so the birds can't take them, dig them into a flower bed or something.

I’ve never see anything like that before! How very strange. Wild animals are pretty clever so I’d assume that she’s not feeding it to their chicks if it’s harmful. I’d also imagine that the chicks would eat it if either if it’s harmful.
But if you’d worried maybe try and pick the poops up when you bring the pigs in.

@Cuddles With Cavies, I always pick up their poops from the grass after mine have been outside. If only to stop them getting stuck to MY feet when I am too lazy to put shoes on and need to pop up the garden for something!

I always find myself thinking, when I have my dustpan and gloves, how rich I'd be even in one week if I had one penny for each poop I pick up

Hehe I usually try but then give up. The thought that their poops are mainly fibre so not going to be damaging to the grass usually silences my guilt.
But yes, could you imagine how right we’d be if the worlds currency was in piggie poops!
