I know this sounds really peculiar... (because it is!) But Tammy one of my sows does this really strange thing, she taps her nose to the floor then lifts her head right up making this sort of stuttered neigh sound! She's done it for a while but I haven't been able to figure out how to describe it until today. It's really funny, I will try and get a video of her the next time she does it. Just wondering if anyone else has a pig that does this?

How odd. No neighing here either. Hope it's just a quirky little thing and not a symptom of illness. :)

I think it's a quirk as she's in good health. She's just a very strange guinea, she's obsessed with my smell, if I get her out she kisses me constantly, and when I get her sister out and put her back she goes and licks Shy everywhere where she has come in contact with me!

I'm thinking this could be chirping?

Without a video none of us can be sure....can you post a video and link on Youtube or Photobucket?

Don't think there is any underlying heath **** at this time.......

Aww, she sounds adorable. My Latte licks me sometimes when I'm cuddling her. It's so cute. :)

Smudge does the head movement you describe, but no sound with it. Its strange and none of the other piggies I've had have ever done it. I've always thought he's a bit of a freak :))

There's always one isn't there! I'm glad she's not alone in the head movement thing, is he by any chance quite a dominant pig? Tammy is very much a madam and I'm wondering if it's something to do with that.
