? Black ears...

When having lap time the other night, I noticed buttercup appeared to have crusty ears. She's had ear problems before.

I have some surolan and have put some drops in each ear. Today when having cage clean, nail clipping and bathing, her ears appear very thick with black stuff. It looks like black wax. She wouldn't let me clean her ears at all..

Well she had a bath in lice n easy shampoo rubbed dry and put not the indoor run in a warm room(hoo rah my heating is working), she's gone very quiet. To be fair she normally snoozes after a bath. She's had some cucumber, but I'm not sure she's not right. Her ears are irritating her I'm sure of it and they are sensitive.

Any ideas?

I would take a trip to the vet and see what they have to say about it

Thanks. I'm actually going to register all my furries with another vets as they've been recommended to me. I will be taking them all down for a full MOT while i'm at it.

She isn't happy, she's snuggled on my lap at the mo.

It is known that dark eared piggies have dark wax but I would still recommend a vets consultation to rule out mites.
Wax can cause a problem if it gets into the ear canal so best to be safe and get her checked over.

Thanks, she does have dark ears, it looks very gooey in there. Hmmm right off to the vets for sure.

What is it when you find something wrong with your furry, you think you should have spotted it before, but I was just thinking wax, but I'm not so sure.

It's clearly getting her down.

Fingers crossed I can have it diagnosed quickly.
