Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with my piggys nail? Its on his back foot it does not seem to bother him and we have only noticed the past few days, not sure if u book a vet vist? thank u

It looks like he has injured it. I would check that there is no risk of infection. Hopefully, it will grow out again.
 
I wonder if he has somehow hurt it and the quick was injured and bled into the nail. I would just keep an eye on it if it doesn't seem to be bothering him.
 
I agree - it looks like there's blood involved. Like the others have said - keep an close eye.
 
Thank u all for the advice, took professor cuddles to the vets and his nail is dark because of dry blood due to an injury to the quick but its not infected which is great news and hes had his nails trimmed [emoji418]️[emoji106]
