black nails trimming

so one of my black piggies has black nails on every foot, i’ve trimmed them once before but i trimmed too far on the last nail that time and she bled a bit. now i’m terrified to try again, any tips?

I feel your pain with all black piggies. I aim to only cut a very small amount off each time, even if more needs cutting off, I only do a very little at the end and do more next time.

You also get silent pet nail grinders online, which take off the ends. I think the torch or grinder method are good with piggies that will sit calm to have it done, but mine are wriggly and I'm doing it on my own, so I just quickly clip a tiny bit off.

Also I've tried a few clippers, some make a creaky noise and scare the pig, some take too long to clip down by which time you've lost the pigs nail. I like these ones:
