I noticed Mooli has a black patch next to his privates. I am taking him to the vets Monday but I am so scared it is skin cancer. I really hope it is just pigmentation. Its near were the hair grows. I tried to get a photo but it would not show up.

Oh poor boy, not had any experience of this myself but good luck at the vets.

Has it always been there or has it just appeared? Good luck at the vets.
xx

I never noticed but I was checking to see if his privates needed cleaning after reading threads about other boars and I had a good look. His privates never seem to need cleaning. Ever.

Does it look anything like these?

Eleanor and Eliza had them. Eliza had 12 in the end and it was skin pigmentation. Nothing to worry about but if you are concerned, then a good idea to see a vet x

Yes! That is very similar but his patch is bigger. Let's hope it is pigmentation then. Thanks Claire.

Would imagine it is pigmentation, fingers crossed for vets. Big hugs and love to Mooli.

hoping it's pigmentation. i took ches once as he had it in his ears and i had been trying to clean it out thinking it was wax or something. so embarrassed when the vet said it was meant to be like that and wouldn't come off due to it being his skin colour! :)) x

The vet said it could be the beginning of an infection and to treat it twice a day with cream. She also said Mooli is very healthy and well endowed!

The ladies will love that part... lol.

Glad he's ok x

Whicg cream is it our of interest? Glad it is nothing serious. I hope you covered his ears he will get a big head :)
