Thinking of changing the boys over to this in a few months after the science select is finished , can anyone recommend this food? Is it ok for a normal every day diet? is the calcium level ok ? thanks alot! -c
 
I used to use the normal Burgees Excel Nuggets but I've heard Guinea Pigs find the blackcurrent and oregano ones delicious. I have my girls on Oxbow Cavy Cuisine now but I'd say Excel is probably around the 2nd best. I defiantly reccomend it over Science Selective. Here are some member's reviews of Excel Nuggets:

I've just finished changing mine from science selective to this one! They all love it and it does smell nice! I think they enjoy it more than the science selective so I highly recommend :)

It's also a lot easier for me to find in shops :) this being the main reason for the switch over.
 
My three have these, and they seem to like them. They are quite a small-sized pellet, which is good for smaller pigs.
 
Bertie had both b and o and ordinary, the little devil kept sorting them out, so he has decided he likes the nice big ordinary ones...if you were closer you could have the half bag he doesnt eat!
 
All my piggies love it! They will also eat the standard Excel nuggets but the Blackcurrant and Oregano go down especially well, I also like that the pellets are quite a small size and easy for all little mouths to pick up!
 
My boys have only ever eaten this, they rejected the other plain pellets think they were too big.

Defo recommended from me!
 
Mine are on this too and they love it. They seem to prefer it to normal Excel as the pellets are smaller and easier for them to eat. I've never tried mine on anything other than Excel though so I can't really compare to anything else (well they were on Wagg for a bit actually, which they liked too, but not as much). I have found you can get them cheaper than pet shops from animeddirect.co.uk and they're free delivery too :)
 
My girls absolutely love this - so another recommend from me! The only downside is that only P@H seem to sell it near me.
 
My guinea pigs love excel guinea pig nuggets plain, and blackcurrent and oregano. Although having six piggies and only being able to find the smaller bags, I have been trying them with this nutri pro guinea pig stuff. They love this to, but my piggies are not really fussy.
 
I have ordered a bag will see what the boys make of it :)
 
I mix both the B&O and the plain 50/50 and give my boys that.
