One of my girls has just been diagnosed with a small bladder stone. The vet thinks there’s a good chance she can pass it herself and has prescribed a lot of medication for her to take for a week before she’s seen again. It seems a lot to me though and wondered if anyone has ever had their piggie prescribed a similar concoction. She’s 1.25kg
Metacalm (dog) 0.8 twice a day
Paracetamol 0.48 twice a day
Gabapentin 0.14 twice a day
Diazepam 0.12 2 or 3 times a day (To reduce to 0.06 twice a day if it makes her sleepy)

She’s to start them tonight and me and my husband are both really worried about it 🥺

We've got a piggy with bladder stones at the minute too.
He's currently having the dog metacam, paracetamol and tramadol as opposed to the gabapentin. This seems to work for him until he passes the stones!

He weighs 1.1kg and is on similar doses to your piggy.

Yes - I have similar high doses for arthritic pigs and one with bladder issues. They seem to tolerate medication well. I’ve never had Diazepam for them but they are on the other 3. Hope that helps reassure you and that your piggie recovers well.
