Our boy Squash had an xray today that showed he has a large bladder stone. We only heard him squeaking this morning and didn’t expect it to be something so serious. He has surgery booked in on Monday (3 days away)

I’d love to hear some stories of piggies who had the surgery and thrived afterwards, without recurring bladder stones.

One of our previous guinea pigs had to be put down because of several recurring bladder stones and I really don’t want that to happen again.

I am sorry you and Squash are going through this.
Rusty had a stone removed when he was about 3 years old. He lived for another 2 years with no recurrence of any bladder problems. He died from a completely unrelated condition.

Good luck for Monday little Squash. I hope you have a quick recovery from your operation and no more nasty stones.

Oh Rusty was so adorable! I’m so happy to hear that he was ok after the surgery. Thank you so much ❤️
