Last week bubbles had a problem with his Back teeth plus an abcess and then on top of all that he had a bad eye!

Today he went to have a checkup and she felt around his back end and he seemed in a lot of pain so she did a urine test and she found traces of blood !:0 . But because you cant see blood at the moment she says it either cystitis or bladder stones, so he is staying at the vets today and will have a x-ray later.

This is the third problem in a week he must feel sooo bad8... x

Oh no, poor Bubbles, am hoping that the x-ray rules out Bladder Stones. Lots of healing vibes to him and hugs to you. Let us know how the x-ray goes. All fingers and paws crossed for Bubbles

Bless he seems to be having a rough time of it, how old is he? My P had bladder stone surgery 4 months ago and has recovered well so all is not lost :).

Healing vibes to your little one!

He is turning 1 in a week!xx

I am very sorry; what a rough time your boy is having!

It is more likely that he has another infection due to his lowered immune system. One year is very young for a bladder stone. Good that your vet is doing another x-ray to make certain, though. Please ask your vet to do this without or with only very anaesthesia. The eye is probably related to the abscess if it is on the same side.

Have you contacted Debbie at her sanctuary/hospital for guinea pigs in need of specialist care? She may be able to help you as she is working in conjuction with a piggy vet specialising in dental problems. http://www.teasnorthampton.co.uk/

Here is more information on either condition:

Poor Bubbles, they say things come in threes but that's really not fair. Fingers crossed it's not a stone and he's on the mend very soon. x

Bubbles is back from the vet! Turns out after doing an X-ray ultrasound and another urine test there appears to be no stones and not even an infection! But he has been given another two medicines he just needs to move of critical care and onto solids!

His belly looks funny because it was shaved for the ultrasound:(|)
