A good idea for wadding is to use a mattress protector. I tend to buy king size and i usually can get two 2x4 liners out of it.
You want to lay all the fabric out and cut and measure it but leaving a good extra on each length so you have room for shrinking in the wash etc. I tend to do a pattern on each side so i can reverse the liners but some people like to just have plain one side and pattern on the other either way you need a back and front piece so you need to lay it like this,
You want; the back fleece laid out top side up.
the top fleece laid out top side down. (Facing the back fleece)
the wadding on top of that.
Stitch all the way around about 1cm or 2cm in from the edge but leave a small gap before you get to the end. it will look a little scruffy but don’t worry. Once you get to the bit where you’ve left space you need to then pull the liner through the hole as if you were going to turn it inside out, it should then be the right way round. with the liner in the middle. Then just stitch then small gap closed again.
Some people like to then stitch again around the middle for extra security but i never have.
Hope this helps, although i now i read it back it doesn’t seem to make that much sense haha.
