1. skin problems..... How long should ivermectin (xeno450) doses last.... last time 3 months, this time not even that.
2.Crackly breathing..

going to take him to see Scott Tuesday....

I'm so sorry! All the best to poor Blaze.

Dizzy had a recurrence of mites within three months of finishing her ivermectin last year, combined with a slight loss of weight and condition. As we were extending the house, it was a noisy, stressful time, so that could have played well a part.

1. You should not need to do preventative topical treatments - if you treat mites right the first time round, it'll just be bad luck if they recur within so long.
However, when worming piggies (which treats internal and some external parasites) the time between doses of Ivomec and Panacur/Valbazen is 3 months.

2. Crackly breathing usually respiratory or allergy, I hope it's just an allergy. Hayfever is a problem at this time of year.

I hope Blaze is on the mend soon!

I am sure something is not quite right with Blazey boy..... so he is getting checked out by our vet, Scott this afternoon.
