Blaze keeps eating the syringe

Any ideas to prevent Blaze chewing the biolapis syringe. He gets through around 3 per 50ml biolapis...
Luckily I have a never ending supply BUT.... i keep having to get fresh ones when they get to a certain point and i can barely make out the hole.

perhaps he thinks he has to chew on it to get any food out of it? dont really know how to help this one
