my gorgeous amazing piggie called piglet is only 5 months old. i notised some blood 3 months ago and i mean maybe half a teaspoons worth nothing much at all i immediatly took her to a vet £20 to be told no idea what was wrong with her but she seemed fine so not to worry :/ then 2 weeks later same again (i know piggies dont bleed while there in heat) payed anther £20 at a different vet to be told the same then another month later i notised it again this time £30 (small animal specialist) to be told no idea so far ive spent £70 on nothing and I'm flat broke shes eating/squeeink/drinking/running and playing just like normal and her friend is 100% healthy i havent notised any blood now for a full month i know its awful to suggest it but she isnt deterating at all and its been like 4 months do you think its something which will be ok? i just cant affor dmore money to be told nothing infact i cant afford it to be told anything! but obviously would od something if i have to.

nope normal blood but such a small amount looks like the amount is getting less and less and i havent seen any for a while

well it notised it in her beeding the first two times and the third a little same out onto my top i could see some around her lady parts and it was thick not diluted by wee so I'm guessing it just "came out"

and i know it sounds bad but shes insanley healthy in appearence and acting

Hi I also noticed a lot of blood in my pigs cage several months ago, I house 5 pigs in there and had no idea which pig it was. Several months on there has been no more blood and I have been regularly weighing my pigs and also no change, except weight gain from my younger girls. Just be vigilant and weigh regularly as weight loss is a big factor on determining deterioation in pigs. G pigs are notorious for not showing ill health until it becomes critical. Hoipe this helps but there are many more knowlegable members on here who can help xx

Sometimes blood in the urine looks pure - even though it's diluted.

My Wilma had a stone in her urethral (I believe), she was crying when urinating then she strained and squeaked when I picked her up a tiny bit of blood came out her Vulva and she spot bled for a few hours. She stopped squeaking when urinating after this event - She was given pain killers, Xrayed and Antibiotics to stop a secondary infection.

stick her on a white towel and ply her with cucumber and wait until she wees to see if its in her wee.

some sows can bleed a little bit when they're in heat, but if it is more then 0.1ml or so of blood you should get her checked out by the vet, it could be cysts on her ovaries or something along those lines.

ahh see i didnt no this if they can bleed a tiny bit while there in heat this would make perfect sense and add up completley :) shes never shown any discomfort never bleed at any other times etc. thank you :) ill keep an eye out still but i recon this is the cause.

i dont think it could be because she doesnt have any of the symptoms and its been at least 3 months and by now it would have sereiously effected her i would have thought.
