Okay so I just went to go clean my girls cage and I picked up thief cuddle cup and it had a smear of red blood in it, I had this happen to me before with the same piggy! She ended up having a popped blood vessel. Anyway I freaked out and checked both piggies out unlike last time she didn’t have anything coming out, she had a small but on the inside, I put her on potty pads and she made two potty spots free of blood, I’m so worried she’s eating and drinking but I haven’t seen blood since, the blood on the cuddle cup was dry but it wasn’t there last night, did she cut herself? She was just at the vets Monday morning and I don’t know what to do. She’s didn’t make any noises when she went potty, this can’t be normal, there is nothing else on the fleeces so I think it just started. I have pictures but they probably won’t help😓😔
This is the dried blood

Hi!

I am very sorry, but please see your vet as soon as you any more bleeding or at the start of the new week - whichever comes first. :(

It could be when they are toileting perhaps? This is often the case when you see blood, but none after the most recent toileting?

She doesn’t have blood in her potty it just comes out at random times, she had blood in a poo too, but she’s peeing fine and without trouble, this is all so confusing😓

I’m afraid any blood seen in wee, poo, on pads or fleece means that the vet needs to examine the piggy. Please let us know how she gets on at the vets.

She’s eating and drinking, but she’s being way more dominant to her cage mate than normal, is this ovarian cysts. The blood is never in her pee only during random times and she’s had this happen before, I’m so worried but my mom says to
Just keep and eye on it but I want to get her to the vet, she just went Monday though and she’s been three times already, she seems to be my problem
Piggy😭

@Wiebke I had a question
She’s eating and drinking and passing stools and wee fine, now it isn’t blood it’s more sludge like stuff, it’s like snot but reddish and brownish, her wee is completely normal so I don’t think it’s a uti or else she would have blood in her pee, there was however some blood on a stool a little while ago... not much. I will hopefully be getting her to the vets very soon, u just don’t want her to be in pain💔

Please have her seen! Any bleeding from the anus requires a vet and a hands-on examination.
