I noticed right now that my 8 months old female is bleeding from her bottom/genitals. She started bleeding just right now, she was fine today morning. I am worried about her 😄.

This is most likely to be a bladder stone or urinary tract infection, but could be due to an intestinal blockage or issue with the reproductive system. In any case, get her to a vet ASAP. In the mean time, if you have a syringe, put her on a tarp or something plastic until she wees and try to grab a sample. This can help the vet to identify whether the issue is with the urine or something else. The vet will also want to know: 1) is she eating, drinking, passing faeces and urine? 2) does she squeak while going to the toilet? 3) is she lethargic, hunched over, or behaving unusually? 4) is the blood extremely dark or does it look like it's diluted with urine?

Such a young pig to be having issues already, depending on what the issue is. Hope things get sorted šŸ‘

Hi!

If it is deep red pee, then your piggy has likely got a urinary tract infection; especially if she has been on the lawn over the last days while the ground was still cool. In this case, the red colour is porphyrine and not blood although blood can be present in the urine when it is tested. In this case please see a vet during regular opening hours.

If it is sheer blood, then it is either a stone or something wrong with the reproductive tract (although she would be rather young for that). This is an emergency.
