Just had a delivery from PetPlanet, I was topping up on Meadow Hay Cookies ( the boys had run out and for obvious reasons couldn't give them any out of the girls's house) and thought I'd try some beetroot crunch treats for them as they're all natural ingredients and I can't seem to get them excited about fresh beetroot ( isn't beetroot supposed to help prevent bladder stones if you give it to them once every couple of weeks? I think I read it on here somewhere but can't remember where mallethead ).
Anyway, I put a few chunks in their bowls and nobody showed much interest ( no surprise there, I've tried them with dried dandelions etc and they're never interested ) until now, there's just been a flurry of munchy activity with both the girls and the boys, all of them having a huge beetroot crunch munchathon ( what a racket!) all at the same time! And now it's stopped....most of the munchies are gone and all is quiet....:))

Same here but the noise those crunchy treats make is something else, especially when all four of them are eating them at the same time! :(|) :(|)

ooh I might have to try that!
Yes some fresh beetroot now and then is good for helping the prevention of bladder stones, the acidicness dissolves calcium build up, mine love it! :))

Might have to get some, mine totally ignore fresh beetroot. rolleyes

And of course there's the heartattack you have when you see the fresh beetroot juice on fleece thinking it's blood...mallethead

I've never tried my piggies with beetroot, do you have a link to the website?

ooooh that's one thing the girls have missed ...... they adored their beetroot drool

Oh gosh yes i was warned not to panick if i saw pink wee's!
I also got told beetroot was good for them, just a small amount 2-3 times at the most a week :)

I like your description! CRUNCHY MUNCHY x)
