After 3 years, all my pigs finally respond to my voice. All those treats and veggies finally paid off... It's so nice though to be able to talk to them and instead of running away they come and greet me!
AND my newbies (I say new; I've had them almost a year) are totally cool about me stroking them. They don't run off like my other pigs do. I feel so loved. I am just really happy that all my pigs seem to like me now lol.

That's great! There's something so rewarding when that relationship grows. There's something very special in earning the trust of an animal that is basically programmed to be cautious/fearful. It's a very special bond.

Yes! My old piggie was so friendly. She would just come over to me all the time and never run away. For about a month when she was nearing the rainbow bridge I think she actually relied on me to take care of her. When I fed her by hand she'd just try her best to hobble over to me and take some more food and sometimes snuggle up to me. It was so lovely. But when she passed I didn't have any pigs like that so like you said, it feels very special to have one similar again!
