Blitzen Has A Problem

Blitzen has learnt recently that if he actually comes out of his hideys at food time, he will get his veggies given to him directly. He loves this. It saves him from having to actually go searching for the bits he wants himself. I'm not sure that it's any easier but he does appreciate it, so. All good, right?

Blitzen hates being out of a hidey, ever :)) yesterday he kept stretching himself out from the carrot cottage to get the leaves...and he's built like an accordion, so he can stretch pretty far. Today however, he panicked when he realised food was coming and apparently thought I forgot about him because as soon as I got the bag of parsley open he bolted out of his hidey and across the ramp...and then looked at me and paused. And then remembered he wasn't in a hidey, scrambled into the one Comet was in, and stole Comet's current food morsel all in the one movement.

Oh, Blitzen. Never change.
 
The funnt things they do eh! Makes us love them even more.

My Podrick gets a few pieces of dill handed to him at dinnertime. I have to keep it separate as it give Jon Snow a dodgy tum.

So whenever food comes out he lets me tip in the veg and then stands there with his head in the air looking skywards for his dill.

One of my other boys is a scaredy pants but he's learned the sound of the veg box being opened. So he disappears when I come to sweep them out and when he hears the box open he appears from nowhere. The thump sounds like he's dropped from the sky!

He nicks Comet's food all the time and Comet gets really annoyed at him for it, but every time you give Comet something he runs into the same hidey Blitzen is already in and I'm just like, you're really not helping yourself here. It's like he thinks the honour system is in place and Blitzen's not going to do what he does every single night lol.

It's funny though, B won't come out for other people...unless you watch him sneakily from the hall when he can hear the fridge door going because he has to investigate that noise every time.
 
Lol he's a funny (haha funny not funny odd) little fella :)
Patchy stretches out like a accordion too and completely dwarfs Coco when they are standing at the bars begging for food but looks so petite against Coco just normally. Patchy will steal coriander out of Coco's mouth but for some reason only coriander no other food or herbs lol except sometimes hay they will have a tug of war over the same piece of hay cos their isn't 50 million strands the same size in the bowl or anything.
