Scully passed away last night just a few weeks before his 8th birthday, devastated.

He had impaction & dental problems for the past few years but we have been able to manage this well with extra care. Unfortunately last night he had a swollen abdomen & went down hill extremely quickly, I knew it was the dreaded bloat. We syringed him water & took turns with him on the massage mat, keeping him calm & warm just praying he'd make it through the night so we could get him to vet. He passed peacefully at 4am.

We're so upset but take comfort in knowing he had a great life & is with his best buddy Mulder now on rainbow bridge.

I just wanted to say a thank you to this forum which has been such a useful source of information & support. Especially as not all people understand what a significant part of your life piggy's can be. Our Scully had such a personality, was so loving & was adored by everyone who met him.

Sorry for your loss, it sounds like the two of them had a happy life with you, and I hope you can find some comfort in that eight years old is a very good age.
Huge hugs to you.

Be free at the Bridge Scully, let Mulder show you the way.
