Bloat - Please Keep Your Fingers Crossed For Ceri!

Aww good luck sweetie, hope she pulls through. I can probably think of something else that might work to get some vibration going..:woot: But might not want to admit to that one...
:btt:

Fingers crossed it starts easing...

I really hope she pulls through. Fingers tightly crossed.

In times of need when Esme ended up quote bloaty with her heart probs and subsequently not many poops I found that when I used the vibrate function on my phone (gently around her sides and tum) that she got some relief from that, as well as gently shaking my legs whilst she was sat there. In her case it wasn't full blown bloat but it definitely helped her .

I've been vibrating Ceri by sitting on the edge of a chair with one leg resting only lightly on the ground.

RIP Ceri

Sadly, the bloat has flared up again over the course of the night. Neither the full array of meds, round-the-clock care or vibrating her for hours on end would shift one bit of the gas that was continuing to build up painfully in her belly. The out-of-hours vet we saw this morning came to the same conclusion as I that any sub-q treatment would only serve to prolong her suffering and that the kindest thing would be to let her go.

I am beyond gutted at the moment. This is the third piggy I have lost within a month's time despite doing everything right!

RIP Ceri

That is such sad news - I was hoping she would rally. Sleep softly Ceri. Sorry you are having a tough run Wiebke. :(

I'm so sorry you had to let Ceri go. I know how difficult it is to lose another piggy so close together, but can only try to imagine how you are feeling with 3. You did your very best for her, and you did the kindest thing to let her go.
She had a fantastic life with you and all her friends.
Popcorn free sweet Ceri.
Huge hugs Wiebke x

Gutted, run free my favourite little Miss. Big hugs from all at Dindy Towers ans kisses from Caren.

I'm so sorry Wiebke. Night night beautiful Ceri x

Oh no :( This was really not the news I was hoping and praying for this morning. I'm so very sorry.

Play nicely with your friends at the bridge little one xx

Really sorry Wiebke :( You did all you could for your beautiful girl. Hugs x

RIP Ceri

Oh Wiebke - I'm so sorry for your loss. You are having such a hard time at the moment. My thoughts are with you and sending big hugs.

Run in peace Ceri x

I'm really sorry that you lost Ceri. I know she would have had the best possible care from you & my heart goes out to you. I lost my little Mousey 2 weeks ago & it's still hurting now. To lose 3 of your little ones in a month must be devastating for such a caring piggy lover as I know you are. Lots of hugs to you. R.I.P. Ceri. xx

So sorry Wiebke to read about Ceri. You've had a tough time losing three guinea pigs in a month but you did all you could. I hope that future vetinary treatment for our guinea pigs will advance and find causes and cures for illnesses that at present appear to cause so many losses and leave owners heartbroken. Take care Val

So sorry for your loss @Wiebke. Sounds like your having a tough time at the moment. RIP Ceri and hugs to you and the rest of your pigs x
