Hi, I think my guinea pig has gas bloat as her stomach was very swollen and it sounded hollow when I gently tapped it. I have had her on a massage pad for about 20mins and it doesn't seem to be working. My parents are on holiday at the moment so I can't get her to the vets tonight. Are there any home remedies I can do to help her untill then. I've heard lots of people say to give a small amount of olive oil and that will get rid of it but I'm a tad anxious to give it to her without knowing if it will do any good. She seems very comfortable at the moment and is just lying down with her legs out behind her. Help please.
Thanks x

Getting her to move around lots is the best thing you can do. You can also give her gripe water.

Bloat can progress very quickly to a life threatening condition so you will need to make arrangements on getting her to the vet tonight if needed.

Is she peeing and pooping still? Is she eating?

She's still peeing, pooping and eating. What is gripe water ?
There is no possible way I can get her to a vet tonight but I can get to one very early tomorrow morning.
Thanks
