thanks i'm just wondering what i can feed him as he still seems to only eat CC under force and hay

I think you have to keep going with the cc until he hopefully gets some appetite back. You could try chopping the hay up more to make it easier to eat perhaps. Or try a nugget mash instead of the cc for a change.

how much weightloss due to bloat is normal? rocky has lost about 100g over the last 4 days :( still not eating much by himself yet i just need to know what to expect :'(

How much syringe food are you giving per day?

The aim is to get 120ml in over 24 hrs, 20-30 ml per feed (this maintains the body weight of the average sized pig), hay if you can tempt him into eating it, no fresh food of any kind as it can trigger the bloat again with the smallest amount of veg/greenery.

Pebble has written comprehensive bloat advice on a few threads in the last few months - perhaps search them out for more experienced, detailed advice, as she has been very helpful in so many cases.

i' feeding him as much as he'll take per feed circa 15-20ml every few hours but he's getting more disenclined to eat it

he doesnt act like a poorly pig he's active alert and just as stroppy just not eating much :(

The trick is to feed him often, as much as he'll take in one go. About 30-50ml is a really good portion!

You will get there eventually, but you need to be patient. Bloat is sadly not a straight forward thing whichever way you are looking at it.

i beginning to think we're turning the corner with him. he sticks his nosey nose into any thing squeaks when he runs and tells you off for syringe feeding him only got 15ml into him this morning must have eaten something overnight weight seems to be holding around 1080-1120g

Great news! Just be patient a little bit longer until he eating fully by himself again and has put back some of his lost weight before you try to VERY carefully introduce some veg again. Bloat is a case where taking things slowly gets you further quickly.

to be honest i dont care if he ever get back to his prime weight just as long as he doesnt lose anymore the hard bit is feeding him in the day when I'm at college starting next week :(

It always happens at the wrong time doesn't it mate :(
As for the feeding thru the day, have a couple of spots that you can put some food for him.... i do this. Different hay in two spots, crud/pellets. I used to have things just in one or two spots but i now have it in more so that either of them can snack thru the day more.....
