Hello everybody
Iggy has developed a bad case of bloat. I have been treating him with
- Infacol three times a day (simethicone, see Wiki and link below
http://www.guinealynx.info/motility.html)
- Rennie and Buscopan, two doses, one this afternoon and one yesterday http://www.oginet.com/pgurney/bloat.htm
My vet is in agreement with above, I also have plenty of probiotic in his water, and he has had a dose of liquid parrifin yesterday to help those poops work their way out.
He is on unlimited hay and pellets, and extremely limited fresh stuff (home grown lettuce, dandilions and some mellon - very little and not very often)
his belly is pretty much back to normal now, but will be keeping up the diet limitations and infacol over the next couple of days. he will also be getting a warm bath tonight (chin is bit sticky)
Has anyone else got a piggy prone to bloating? How do you manage this long term?
danni
