k, Iv noticed that my male guinea pig Harry has been really bunnged up latley .. not so much constipated as he can still poo :/

Its just really strange - and gross as i have to gently squease it out of him every other day :...

It takes ages for the blockage to come out too .. and he hates it, i often put him in the bath to make it easier... anyway when it finally comes out its basically just a big ball of feces.. even though Harry hates the whole thing he always seems really relieved to be rid of it XD

but he still passes everything else ok, like he can still poo :/ (but he dose poo loads once the blockage is out) so i don't get it at all and its only just started to happen.

But i havn't changed anything either, as i no that could have brought it on..
Like i havn't re housed him (i.e brought a new hutch), he's still on the same diet, few carrots, apples and hay everyday and has had the same pellets ever since i got him :/
Also all my other guinea pigs are fed the same thing and there all ok :/

They all get to run around outside as often as possible too.

I rang the vets and she said if he can still poo and everything then i don't see what the problem is - i was like apart from the massive blockage he gets o__O! and she said there was no point bringing him in unless it gets worse (which it hasn't)

So i'm really stumped :/
Any advice would be great x)

Yes .. thanks so much, i think thats what he has ^^

I un block him almost everyday, but getting hold of some vit B supplements is the next step i think to help him a bit more =]

Thanks that article helped alot
(Goodness knows why the vet did no it was this :/)

No probs, sadly some vets aren't overly Guinea pig savy when it comes to their problems.

It should take no more than a few seconds to remove the impacted material.
Don't bother with vitamin supplements, they will not have any worthwhile benefit.
