Can anybody please advise? One of our baby boars has started passing a small amount of blood when he urinates. It isn't every time, he's not squeeling with pain, he's eating and drinking well, in fact there's no other symptoms.
He's 3 weeks old today.
Can anybody please give me any ideas or tips on how to treat him, other than a vet? Just wondered if there's any natuarl remedies to try.
Thank you.

It sounds a bit like cystitis, where you don't get blood with every pee. You could try and give him as much cranberry juiice and water as he'll take to flush it out.

Try and put him on a bit of hay; if it goes a bright yellow, then his pee is infected. It is my "home test" for UTI, but it works and helps me catch it early.

If it is UTI, make sure that you get pediatric septrin, and not baytril for the little boy; it a LOT easier on the body and taste hundred times better!

I wish your little bundle all my best!

Thank you. What ratio do I need to dilute the cranberry juice to please?
I will try the hay test.

I got unsweetened Ocean Spray juice from the supermarket and found that my guinea pigs prefer to have half juice half water mix rather than pure juice.

Apart from the antibacterial properties, it contains a lot of vitamin C.
