I was holding my female piggie yesterday and she did a wee on my but there was alot of blood. I'm really worried about her, she can't seem to control her bladder either. Also her breathing is very heavy, she is eating & drinking normally. I was wandering if anyone knows of what to do, or if they have experienced this before. I will be taking her to the vet but they never seem to be much use...

Hi Welcome

Sorry to hear this, i would take your piggy to a vets experienced in piggy's and exotics, if you give your location someone on here may be able to recommend one to you.

Also when you go try to take a urine sample with you so that they can test it.

Good luck xx

It is most likely UTI (urinary tract infection/cystitis) as there is increased peeing; but issues with a bladder stone, the guts or womb can also cause bleeding. I have seen UTIs with my own piggies that have started with the same symptoms - lots of red pees.

Has she been outside on the lawn lately? Cold and dampish surfaces can cause UTI and this is the season for it.
If it is UTI, please ask your vet for a three weeks course of septrin (the UK version of the bactrim mentioned in the link; it is not officially licensed although widely used, so you may have to sign a form), probiotics to bolster the guts and some metacam (painkiller/anti-inflammatory) for the first few days.

Good that you have her booked in.

Thank you everyone :)
I had an idea it might be a UTI but wasn't too sure, Thanks for the advice Wiebke, I will definitely ask my vet about that.
I will keep you updated and let you know how she gets on :)
