Hi one of my boys is peeing blood today. I've noticed 2 damp patches of watery bloodish bedding which I belive is pee over the course of the afternoon. No wounds. Both eating/drinking and running around fine. Do they need to see a vet ASAP or can it wait until Tues when I've finished work?

Hi!

It can wait until Tuesday as long as your boys are otherwise OK in themselves. A developing UTI (urinary tract infection) or cystitis (bacterial or sterile bladder infection) often takes a few days for symptoms like porphyrine-red pees (may or may not contain blood) and squeaking when peeing/pooing to become consistent.

You need to see a vet promptly if one of your boys suddenly looks very off and is going off his food. In this case, a bladder stone may have gone into the urethra and is blocking it, which is an out-of-hours vet cover emergency. I don't expect this to be the case but this is something to keep in mind when dealing with a urinary tract issue.
