We have a big pipe in our guinea pigs pin and discovered urine that had blood in it today? we are not for sure what that means but are concerned.... Lucy does drink alot of water we are not sure if she has a bladder infection or what?

Do you only have the one pig? If so, I think i would be inclined to go to a vet asap to get it checked out, otherwise i would check which one it is first then take it.

We are pretty sure its lucy, But there was no squeaking when peeing, She eats just fine and drinks as well so its just weird

could it be anything else?

Maybe take each of the piggies out and give them a good thorough check over, looking for any scratches, cuts or sores. If you can't see anything, keep a very close eye on them and if you suspect something is wrong, take them to the vet. If in doubt, it's always best to take them to the vet.

well we seperated them for a little while and it's lucy with the blood in her urine so I'm going to call the vet first thing in the morning

well we took Lucy to the vet yesterday and they did a urinalysis and said everything was fine so i don't know why the blood in the urine? But they put her on antibiotics anyway and we will see how she does....they wanted to do x-rays but that was gonna cost over $300 and we just don't have that so i hope she will be ok....:(

If the bloody episodes come back, you will have to consider the possibility of bladder stones - and that means an x-ray and a possible operation.

You can have red urine, but no blood in it and clear urine with blood in it. mallethead My Llewelyn pulled that trick on me when he came down with URI last year and I caught it very early.
