Blood In Wee?

Have just taken this paper lining from the hay tray to clean. Noticed what looks like blood in the wee.
Piggies were collected from rescue yesterday, mum and 3 month old baby.

Is this reason for concern?

Similar happened to mine, it was a urinary tract infection, they need medicine to clear it up.

I'd definitely give them some floor time on a white towel, or line their cage with a white towel for a little while so you can monitor their urine output. Plus you'll find out which one it is.

It might not necessarily be blood as urine can dry to different colours but the spot on the left looks a bit red to me, the rest looks like it could be oxidisation.

I know it's the mum as when I weighed her yesterday on a white flannel there was light pink wee there too.

We're off to the vet this afternoon to have a new pet check for both of them.

Update....
Suspected urine infection, didn't seem too uncomfortable on palpation, so metacam 2.5kg once a day and Baytril 0.25ml twice a day both for 7 days to cover and keep checking wee stains.
Otherwise both in good health.
She didn't like the Baytril at all, any suggestions to make it more palatable.

Baytril is disgusting. Some members use a little diluted sugar free ribeana to mask the taste. Suck the baytril up first followed by the ribeana so she gets to taste to ribeana first
