Bullseye

Another sleepless night for me last night, worrying about Sophie. After clearing up the tummy upset she was happy as a pig in poo.

Popcorning all over and playing lovely in the run with Phoebe

when i put her to ber i noticed what looked like blood around her eye

not fresh and red flowing blood and no sign of a cut
but it was dark red as if it had been squeezed out of a tear duct

her eyes had been a bit sticky round the edges

i checked on her shortly after bed time and she seemed ok and the eye was cleaner

then again soon after that and she was sleeping

checked this morning and she was just a little sticky around the eye

is this normal?

thanks for the link - i will try and get a pic tonight if it has not cleared up
it seemed to be clearing last night

as she has had a poorly tum it could be linked to that according to the link you sent

Wishing her all the best and many popcorns to enjoy life, love and good health!

discussions with OH reveal that Sophie got stuck in a tube yesterday
and could only get out backwards

it was a t shape tube and the junction in the middle seemed to trap her head

needless to say it has been binned (the tube that is not her head)

could this have caused a strain (i know this can happen in humans but dont ask how i know)

sorry i kind of posted a bit elsewhere on the progress and forgot to dig out this thread

the short answer is yes - i was panicing over nothing again

i picked her up for a cuddle last night and as always she sat cupped in my hand, eyes almost closed and almost asleep

then she had a play in the run and she popcorned for the first time

i think Bridge has been teaching her that one - he is a real live wire

no sign of blood but she did have the milky white discharge which i understand is normal

so whatever it was - she seems to have fixed it herself

isn't nature wonderful

i thought so

she is stunning and has been the cause of much worry

i keep forgetting she is a little younger than the others and settling down still
