Zubin and Harry have a bowl of veg everyday unless we have run out and havent managed to get to the shops yet, i cant drive so i have no choice but to wait for my mum or dad to take me to the supermarket for veg. they have hay and dry food everyday.

The shavings dont seem to be red kelly, looking carefully at the newspaper there is a red picture I'm wondering if maybe the ink ran :S he doesnt squeak when he pees that i have noticed x

If it was blood then you surely would be able to see it on shavings. I know this is gross, but does it have a bloody smell to it?

It sounds to me its something you have fed them. How often do you see it?

Quite often happens when they have a lot of carrot and/or strawberries - Lucinda's 'boys' had it the other week

The colourings in the Gerty could be something to do with it too - just monitor closely for now.

Often staining on the newspaper is down to colours running from photos etc that are printed in the paper.

If you want to know for sure put them on towels or plain white paper for a bit - will be easy to tell what is going on then.
